For those flying in, we recommend booking flights as early as possible to secure a good price. For UK-based guests, we have personally found that booking a direct flight makes for a less stressful journey, and have been large fans of airlines such as Emirates and Singapore Airlines.
We have a list of activities planned for the week leading up to the wedding, so we recommend arriving a few days early if possible so you can join us for a few fun-filled days in Singapore.
Option 1: Arrive Early & Ease Into It
Perfect if you'd like to beat the jet lag and explore Singapore at a relaxed pace before the festivities.
- Arrive: Monday, 18 May 2026
- Depart: Monday, 25 May 2026
Option 2: Quick Trip Around the Wedding
Ideal for those short on time who want to join just for the wedding celebrations.
- Arrive: Thursday, 21 May 2026
- Depart: Monday, 25 May 2026
Many of the planned events are much easier to reach by taxi or lift-share than by public transport.
There is no Uber in Singapore, but there is a similar private car hire service called Grab. It's worth downloading the app ahead of time if you're planning to use it.
Grab also have options for children or babies that require car seats, but you'll need to specifically book the child car option.
There is also the CDG Zig app, which is the official taxi app within Singapore, and offers similar ride-hailing services.
Unlike private car hire, actual taxis don't legally need to put children under 1.35m in a car seat, allowing for a little more flexibility.
Consensus online suggests that Zig is often slightly cheaper, and better in the daytime, while Grab has faster waiting times in the evenings.

Singapore also has a good rail system, known as the MRT, which is a very cheap and efficient way of getting around, often only a dollar or two (~£1).
You can pay just using a Mastercard or Visa card, or can buy an EZ-Link travelcard.

If sorting out your own accommodation, we recommend looking in the Bugis area and surrounding areas, shown below, as there are a plenty of options and this is not far from the main Singaporean attractions or the wedding venues.
