OVERSEAS GUESTS

For those flying in, we recommend booking flights as early as possible to secure a good price. For UK-based guests, we have personally found that booking a direct flight makes for a less stressful journey, and have been large fans of airlines such as Emirates and Singapore Airlines.

We have a list of activities planned for the week leading up to the wedding, so we recommend arriving a few days early if possible so you can join us for a few fun-filled days in Singapore.

Suggested Flying Dates --

Option 1: Arrive Early & Ease Into It
Perfect if you'd like to beat the jet lag and explore Singapore at a relaxed pace before the festivities.

- Arrive: Monday, 18 May 2026
- Depart: Monday, 25 May 2026

Option 2: Quick Trip Around the Wedding
Ideal for those short on time who want to join just for the wedding celebrations.

- Arrive: Thursday, 21 May 2026
- Depart: Monday, 25 May 2026

Tourist Tips --

A few tips for those who’ve never visited Singapore...

  • You will likely need to fill out a Singapore Arrival Card (filled out online) up to 3 days before arrival in the country
  • The currency is Singapore Dollars (commonly referred to as SGD / S$ / $)
    • For UK guests, $1 = roughly 60p
  • Jaywalking & littering are illegal and commonly fined
  • Singapore is HOT - the air conditioning is great for while you’re indoors, but pack clothes for hot weather
  • There is a Taxi service similar to Uber called “Grab” (worth downloading the app if planning to use!)
  • The “MRT” rail system (think of London’s Tube, but much nicer) is also an efficient way of getting around - credit cards can be used to tap through the gantry
  • It’s worth carrying cash for food stalls, shops & attractions that may not accept card
  • The tap water is safe for drinking
  • If you use a public dining place (“Hawker centre”) make sure to return your tray - there are tray return points for both Halal and non-Halal at such places
